One of the unfortunate problems of importing fresh produce into the UK
and Ireland for sales into supermarkets and retailers is the problem of
Q.C. rejections. Whether we are talking about apples and soft fruit from
Southern Hemisphere or onions and vegetables from northern Europe, the
risk is always there that due to unforeseen circumstances the goods may
be claimed upon arrival.
Since more and more of our product is packed at source and labelled at
source there is always the risk of a rejection at the supermarket depot.
Once the goods have been rejected they cannot be sold in their current
format and they need to be de-labelled, sorted, re-packed and marketed
in a different format.
We are now able to offer the full service of re-packing, sorting, marketing
and surveying rejected goods. We also offer open book returns policy and
work closely with most of the recognised listed surveying companies. In
most cases we make returns directly to the insurers so that you do not
have a problem to liaising with the different parties involved.
We also have sub contracted refrigerated transport running daily into
most regions of the UK and Ireland and back loads to the continent and
Scandinavia.
